This expectation serves to nourish our culture, showcase care through flexibility, and strengthen our partnerships.<br><br><strong>Position Summary:</strong><br><br>The Retail Training team researches the latest training tools/technologies/methodologies and delivers engaging and effective training to Retail associates. This role continuously assesses retail training/development needs and provides learning and development strategies. The manager will work with store leaders, Retail Operations leadership, cross-brand peers, and home office business partners to provide training content and solutions that deliver Hannaford's strategy to customers, appropriate technical training to associates, and ensures compliance with all appropriate laws.<br><br><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Responsible for creating a training strategy and delivering training content that supports technical training for retail associates, onboarding/compliance training for retail positions.</li><li>Partner with the People and Organizational Development team to create developmental training for emerging retail leaders.</li><li>Identify training and development needs within the retail organization through organizational and job analysis, skill assessments and regular consultation with business managers.</li><li>Oversee a team of Retail Training Design specialists responsible for consulting, creating, and providing training content that supports evolving business needs and ensuring the ongoing technical and personal development of all retail team members.</li><li>Serves as the subject matter expert on retail training experience strategy, adult learning methodology and retail training technologies.</li><li>Collaborate to develop project goals, training objectives and training-related KPIs by analyzing program needs and proposing multiple solutions to drive company and individual performance.</li><li>Continuously re-evaluate our training strategy and ensure alignment with evolving technology, learning principles, demographic needs, and business requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with business leaders, managers, and employees to execute training plans consistent with corporate and retail business strategies</li><li>Overall responsibility for ensuring/tracking associate completion of and compliance with all regulatory/mandatory and training.</li></ul><br><strong>Qualifications and Experience:</strong><br><ul><li>BS/BA/Certification in Learning Design, Instructional Technologies, Adult Learning.</li><li>5 - 7 years' experience in developing and conducting consistent, broad-scale training programs for a diverse workforce. Retail/grocery experience is strongly preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated business acumen and ability to think strategically while focusing on project and daily task execution</li><li>Knowledge of LMS administrative functions and experience with SuccessFactors.</li><li>Strong understanding of instructional design process for both classroom and online training.</li><li>Demonstrated project management capabilities and the ability to manage multiple projects/initiatives concurrently.</li><li>Significant, demonstrated experience with various delivery modes including printed materials, online training, and video.</li></ul><br><strong>Skills and Abilities:</strong><br><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to solve complex learning problems with innovative instructional design.</li><li>Ability to lead a team of training professionals, support their ongoing development, and manage assignments/capacity across the entire team.</li><li>Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation, collaboration, and influencing skills.</li><li>Proficiency with current Windows/Microsoft Office products including SharePoint and Loop.</li><li>Proficiency in Articulate 360 suite, and experience with digital authoring tools.</li><li>Knowledge of adult learning concepts and current trends in technology-based learning.</li><li>Ability to comfortably lead/facilitate meetings and deliver presentations.</li></ul><br>The salary range for this position is $92,640 to $138,960<br><br><strong>The statements contained herein reflect general details as necessary to describe the principal functions for this job, the level of knowledge and skill typically required, and the scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.
